my love for ubuntu…. (anyway ubuntu needs another distro. perhaps FBUNTU (Female Ubuntu) )

i am very happy, because i am no more depending on M$ Window$
i am using Ubuntu (6.06) for 7 days… no pain, no hard feeling, all required software are in my box…
just need to apply “apt-get install blah”
here is the list of my daily used tools/software:

1. IntelliJ IDEA (JAVA IDE)
2. SVN (subversion)
3. Thunderbird (mail client)
4. FireFox (Web browser)
5. Maven2 (java project management tool)
6. Resin 3.0.x (Java application server)
7. OpenLDAP
8. MySQL
9. GEdit (Notepad type editor)
10. GAIM (Messenger)

and other more specific java + php + ruby related tools…

JDBC – MySQL: Incorrect arguments to mysql_stmt_execute

Have you ever faced this problem?
very known problem though… i am posting my blog so i can find it out later….
just simple solution append this “?useServerPrepStmts=false” string to your jdbc uri
for example: url=jdbc:mysql://localhost/escenic?useServerPrepStmts=false

Jawed Karim, a 22 year old software engineer, is the co-founder of the popular video sharing website YouTube. His father is Bangladeshi and his mother German. Ubuntu (6.06) – installed

hi,

after lot of fighting i got it install YAHOO!!!.
since yesterday i am no more using M$ window$…
i have already moved my thunderbird mail profiles. I am using GAIM instead of MSN Live… no pain, very cool..

A Mood off day!!!

today was totally boring and mood off day..
i was mood off from the beginning… of the day light.
got up 9 AM after bath put on all my dresses and started moving through office….
the day was totally boring… but did satisfactory work at office today… because no concern was on head.
backed to my home around 6 PM…
took rest for a couples of minutes… and thought i should update my ubuntu 5.05 to 6.06 after fighting more than 2/3 hours i failed to update… i tried using several downloaded versions (alternative too). new installation process seems the worst ever. that’s why i
liked alternative but some how i could not succeed.

then started new Escenic installation.. but failed … i think mood off has adverse effect on every works…
so later around 12 AM long chat with ” Samiha Esha “ helped me a lot to forget every failure that happened today… she is really genius… and obviously upcoming BoW (Best Of The World) congrats!!

visited hasin bro’s blog.. very interesting stuffs are hanging around.. boring day time..
I am thinking about sports, that may add more flavor in my life … perhaps shooting, swimming (suggested by ” Samiha Esha “) etc…
